These terms apply when you use Aqeeb Studio (aqeebstudio.com), including its color encyclopedia, color tools and guides. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the site provides

Aqeeb Studio offers free reference information about colors and free browser-based tools for converting, comparing, checking and generating colors. It is run by Aqeeb Uddin, an independent developer based in India. We may change, add or remove content and tools at any time, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or error-free.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms other people;
• attack, overload or interfere with the site or its servers, including with automated requests at a rate that affects other visitors;
• try to gain access to parts of the site or systems that are not meant to be public;
• copy the site's text, design or code in bulk and republish it as your own.

Ordinary use, such as reading pages, using the tools, linking to pages and quoting short passages with a link back, is welcome.

Your colors, palettes and images

You keep all rights to the colors, palettes, images and other material you use in the tools. The tools run in your browser and your images are not uploaded. You may use the colors, palettes and code snippets that the tools generate in your own projects, personal or commercial, without attribution. You are responsible for checking that any image you open is yours to use.

Ownership of the site

The site's design, code, written text and original graphics belong to Aqeeb Uddin and Aqeeb Studio, except where noted. Color values, such as a HEX code, are facts and are not owned by anyone. Color names come from the CSS specification and from the CC0-licensed XKCD Color Survey; see the Disclaimer. Product and brand names that appear on the site, such as names of color systems or software, belong to their owners, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Accuracy and professional use

We work to make the values, calculations and explanations on this site accurate, but they are provided for general information and design work. Colors look different on different screens and in print, simulations are approximations and contrast results do not by themselves make a product accessible or legally compliant. Please read the Disclaimer. For decisions with legal, medical or safety consequences, ask a qualified professional.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Aqeeb Studio and Aqeeb Uddin are not liable for any loss or damage that results from using the site or relying on its content, including lost profits, lost data or the cost of reprinting or redesigning work. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Links and advertising

The site links to other websites that we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. The site may display advertising from third parties; see the Advertising Disclosure. We do not endorse the products or services in advertisements.
