Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Aqeeb Studio (aqeebstudio.com) handles when you visit the site and use its color tools. Aqeeb Studio is run by Aqeeb Uddin, an independent developer based in India.

Information you use in the tools

The colors, palettes and images you work with in the tools stay in your browser. Your image is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded. We do not receive, store or look at them.

Some tools let you share a link that contains your colors. Those values are written after the # sign in the address. Browsers do not send the part of an address after # to the server, so shared colors are not sent to us when someone opens the link. If you post such a link somewhere public, anyone who sees it can see those colors.

Server logs

When you request a page, the web server and our hosting provider receive technical information that your browser sends automatically: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page, and your browser and device type (the user agent). This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, fix errors and understand load. Log retention is controlled by the hosting provider, and we do not use logs to identify individual visitors.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to read and answer your message, and we keep it for as long as needed to deal with it. The contact page does not send anything on its own: it opens your email app with a prepared message, and nothing is sent until you send it.

Browser storage

The site saves a few items on your device so that it can remember your choices. They stay in your browser and are not sent to our server. The Cookie Policy lists each item. In short:

• your light or dark theme choice;
• small tool preferences, such as recently used colors;
• your advertising and analytics choice, when the site shows its own consent banner.

You can delete these at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site is set up to use advertising provided by Google AdSense, but ads are not being shown right now. The rest of this section describes how advertising works whenever it is switched on. See also our Advertising Disclosure.

Why we handle information

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we handle server logs because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website, we handle email you send us to respond to you, and we rely on your consent for advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required.

This site links to other websites, for example Google's policy pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Please read their policies before sharing information with them.

Your choices and rights

• Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies and other site data in your browser. The tools keep working without them, but your theme and tool preferences will not be remembered.
• Advertising choices. Use the links in the advertising section above to limit personalized ads.
• Access, correction and deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. Because we only hold what you email us and routine server logs, the simplest way to make a request is to email aqeebuddin75@gmail.com.

Children

This site is a general reference for designers, developers and anyone interested in color. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. No system that is connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but there are no accounts or passwords on this site, and the tools do not store your work on a server.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, for example by switching on advertising or analytics, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
